Do not leave the woodstove door open when alight; do not not put items on top of the wood stove when alight; do not burn cardboard and refuse in the woodstove; do not store combustable material immediately beside the woodstove; dispose of ash responsibly and ensure ash drawer is correctly re-fitted after opening.

- In case of cold weather, there are extra heaters in the bedrooms (electric plug-in heaters) and in the bathrooms (wall mounted electric fan heaters) in addition to the central heating. Do not leave electric heaters on when you are not in the room.
- Do not place any items on top of the electric plug-in heaters; do not hang items from the wall mounted electric fan heaters in the bathrooms.
- Please shut doors behind you at night time. This reduces the risk of a fire spreading quickly.
- If you lock the front door at night, we recommend that you leave the key in the lock for quick exit if required.
- No campfires in the garden and grounds - please use the fire bowl or the fire pit instead. Do not leave the fires unattended and ensure they are properly extinguished when you leave them.
- Torches are located by the lower exit (plugged in to the wall with a night light) , at the bottom of the spiral staircase (plugged into the wall by the bookcase with a night light), and by the kitchen door.
